Message from the President of the 15th Basic and Clinical Neuroscience Congress

In the Name of God

The field of neuroscience, in its quest to understand one of the most complex and fascinating phenomena in existence—the brain and nervous system—is advancing at a remarkable pace. Today, the boundaries between basic sciences, medicine, cognitive sciences, technology, and artificial intelligence are becoming increasingly blurred. This convergence is opening new horizons for understanding brain function, identifying neurological and psychiatric disorders, and developing innovative approaches to diagnosis and treatment.

In this context, the connection between fundamental research and clinical applications is an undeniable necessity. Translating laboratory findings into effective strategies for prevention, diagnosis, and treatment, and moving toward precision and personalized medicine, requires continuous interaction among researchers across different fields of neuroscience and the clinical community.

The 15th Basic and Clinical Neuroscience Congress provides an opportunity to bring this scientific community together and create a platform for the exchange of ideas, presentation of the latest research achievements, and development of new collaborations across diverse disciplines. The presence of professors, researchers, specialists, and students alongside one another can pave the way for raising new questions, fostering interdisciplinary ideas, and opening new pathways in research and treatment.

It is hoped that this congress will go beyond being merely a scientific gathering and serve as a platform for collective reflection, synergy, and envisioning the future of neuroscience in our country—a future in which fundamental knowledge, emerging technologies, and clinical needs converge in pursuit of better human health and quality of life.

I warmly welcome the valuable presence and participation of all professors, researchers, specialists, and students, and I sincerely thank everyone whose knowledge, dedication, and support contribute to the success of this scientific event.

With respect,
Mohammad Taghi Joghatai, PhD
President, Iranian Neuroscience Association
President, 15th Basic and Clinical Neuroscience Congress
