About Congress
15th Basic and Clinical Neuroscience Congress
The 15th Basic and Clinical Neuroscience Congress will be held from December 16 to 18, 2026, at the Razi International Conference Center of Iran University of Medical Sciences, with the aim of establishing and strengthening the connection between basic neuroscience findings and their clinical and societal applications. The congress is organized by the Cellular and Molecular Research Center and the Iranian Neuroscience Association, in collaboration with Tarbiat Modares University and with the support of the Cognitive Sciences and Technologies Development Headquarters.
This year’s congress, under the theme “Translational Neuroscience: From Research Achievements to Clinical and Societal Applications,” seeks to provide a platform for exchanging the latest scientific findings, fostering interdisciplinary collaborations, and facilitating the translation of knowledge from laboratories and research settings into clinical practice and society. Within this framework, collaboration among basic science researchers, clinical specialists, cognitive scientists, rehabilitation professionals, engineers, technology experts, and other related disciplines plays a crucial role in developing innovative strategies to promote brain health.
The scientific program of this edition covers a broad range of emerging areas in neuroscience, including Cellular and Molecular Neuroscience, Cognitive Neuroscience, Social and Affective Neuroscience, Sensory and Motor Neuroscience, and Computational Neuroscience, as well as Neurological and Neuropsychiatric Disorders, Neurorehabilitation, Neurotechnology, Ethics, Education, and Society. Topics such as artificial intelligence and machine learning, brain signal analysis, brain–computer interfaces, neuromodulation, emerging technologies, and innovative approaches to brain health will also have a prominent place in the scientific program.
One of the key focuses of this year’s congress is the role of emerging technologies in advancing brain health and exploring their potential for the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of neurological and cognitive disorders. From this perspective, the congress aims not only to present the latest research achievements but also to foster dialogue on the challenges and opportunities facing neuroscience and on pathways for translating knowledge and technology into effective and practical solutions for clinical practice and society.
The 15th Basic and Clinical Neuroscience Congress, as one of the country’s established and continuing scientific events in the field of neuroscience, has in recent years provided a consistent annual platform for bringing together researchers, faculty members, physicians, specialists, students, and professionals working in various areas of brain and neuroscience. The continuity of this event has created a valuable opportunity to present scientific achievements, exchange experiences, develop research collaborations, and strengthen connections among different generations of researchers.
With the participation of a broad community of experts and researchers from basic sciences, medicine, psychology, cognitive sciences, rehabilitation, engineering, technology, and other related disciplines, the congress seeks to take an effective step toward strengthening translational neuroscience, advancing emerging technologies, and moving from knowledge to application in order to promote brain health and improve the quality of life in society.
